Overview

Inventory in SellPilot is per variant per warehouse. A variant can be tracked (stock is managed) or non_tracked (Shopify inventory_management is null) in which case SellPilot skips ALL inventory machinery — no reservations, no stock movements, no levels, no push, no low-stock alerts. Tracked variants flow through one canonical pipeline of database functions so every mutation is consistent.

Best practices

  • Let SellPilot manage stock through orders — never edit the inventory tables directly.
  • Confirm a variant's tracking mode in the channel that owns it (e.g. Shopify) before troubleshooting.
